Group Celebrates Outstanding Achievements at 2024 Business Performance Awards

Juma Al Majid Holding Group hosted its highly anticipated 2024 Business Performance Awards on 23rd January 2025 at Le Meridien Airport Hotel, Dubai, celebrating the outstanding achievements of its business units and employees over the past year. The event, attended by over 600 employees, recognized the exceptional contributions that drive the Group’s continued success and growth.

In his welcome note, Mr. Abduselam Hamde – Group Chief Strategy & Human Capital Officer – highlighted that meeting targets is critical but exceeding them is what truly defines the Group. He emphasized that continuous improvement and striving for new heights must always be the focus, driven by the commitment to Inspire to Excel.

Building on this message, Mr. Tarig Shalabi, Group Chief Executive Officer, welcomed all attendees and reinforced the importance of success and performance, stating: “Success is not just about hitting targets; it’s about the pride, self-esteem, and dignity that come with knowing you have given your best. The evening’s highlight was the announcement of Al Majid Motors / KIA-UAE as the recipient of the coveted Best Business Performance Award for 2024, reflecting their exceptional contributions, results in 2024 and consistent drive towards excellence.

The Best Salesperson Award celebrated the remarkable achievements of three individuals: Mr. Sheikh Noufal – Assistant Sales Manager at GENAVCO Isuzu-UAE, Mr. Hamid Iqbal Khan – Assistant Sales Manager at GENAVCO Isuzu-UAE, and Mr. Mohamed Elshamy – Key Accounts Manager at Al Arabia Elevators, for surpassing their sales targets and demonstrating relentless dedication.

A standout moment of the evening was the presentation of the Special Award to Mr. Ahmed Algamal from SPS, in recognition of his exceptional leadership in transforming the Ras Al Khor Service Center. His efforts in driving operational excellence and service improvements led to remarkable results. In appreciation of his outstanding contributions, Mr. Ahmed Algamal was awarded a Hyundai Kona, a fitting recognition of his dedication and impact.

A notable moment in the ceremony was the recognition of Mr. Anees Khalid – Foreman/Technician at SPS – with the International Excellence Award for his stellar performance at the 11th Kia World Skills World Cup, where he competed against top technicians from 42 countries. The event also honored employees for their long service and loyalty to the Group, with four individuals being celebrated for an incredible 45 years of service – Mr. Mir Ahmed Bakshu (Heavy Duty Driver – Hyundai UAE), Mr. Mahmoud Thabit (Service In-Charge – Al Arabia for Operations & Maintenance), Mr. Sufian Jarar (Trade Finance Service Manager – Group Finance Div.), and Mr. Mohamed Ameen (General Manager – Al Arabia for Safety & Security).

The event further honored outstanding contributions across various categories, including the Emirati Workforce Loyalty Award, Best Drivers, Best Security Guards & Supervisor, Best Labor Camp, and Individual Effort Recognition Awards, highlighting the invaluable role these individuals play in the Group’s success.

Adding an element of excitement to the evening, attendees participated in a thrilling raffle draw featuring high-value prizes, including mobile phones, tablets, travel vouchers, and watches.
