Since joining the Group, Mr. Khalid Juma Al Majid took on the responsibilities of the Vice Chairman role and has then been steering the group into new levels of success, further diversifying its portfolio, and driving the definition of the enterprise as envisioned by his father – H.E. Tarig Shalabi

Group Chief Operating Officer

As the Group Chief Operating Officer for Juma Al Majid Holding Group, Mr. Tarig Shalabi is responsible for steering the Group strategies and the overall performance of the group. He joined the Group in 2016 and has served as its Chief Financial Officer before moving into his present role.

Mr Khalid al majid

Khalid Juma Al Majid

Vice Chairman

Since joining the Group, Mr. Khalid Juma Al Majid took on the responsibilities of the Vice Chairman role and has then been steering the group into new levels of success, further diversifying its portfolio, and driving the definition of the enterprise as envisioned by his father – H.E. Juma Al Majid, Founder and Chairman of the Group.
Mr. Khalid Juma Al Majid is committed to serving the interests of the Group and achieving sustainable growth in company value. He has been involved in growing and managing the diverse portfolio of the Group across all its sectors and businesses. He applies his business acumen to create solutions across all segments the Group is involved in Contracting, Commercial, Travel, Real Estate, and Investment to drive growth and performance.
In addition to his professional career at the Juma Al Majid Holding Group, Mr. Khalid Juma Al Majid is currently a member of the Board of Dubai Chambers; in addition, he has successfully held several other roles, namely: Vice Chairman – Board of Directors for the Central Bank of the UAE, Board Member for Emirates NBD, and Board Member for Commercial Bank of Dubai, and member of trustees for Emirates Nationals Development Programme.

Tarig Shalabi

Group Chief Operating Officer

As the Group Chief Operating Officer for Juma Al Majid Holding Group, Mr. Tarig Shalabi is responsible for steering the Group strategies and the overall performance of the group. He joined the Group in 2016 and has served as its Chief Financial Officer before moving into his present role.
Equipped with more than twenty-five years of experience in both private and public sectors in the fields of strategy, organizational reforms, corporate finance, economics, and public policy – he has been and is the driving force behind the successful turn-around of multiple organizations across diverse industries – leading and directing strategy reforms, operational efficiency/effectiveness, and cultural change initiatives, all aimed at delivering exceptional returns to the respective stakeholders.
Before his role at Juma Al Majid Holding Group, Mr. Shalabi held several key leadership/executive positions. He served as Minister of State of Finance and National Economy for the government of Sudan – responsible for the development and implementation of economic and Public Financial Management Reform (PFMR), as well as overseeing the government’s investment portfolio. He has also assumed leadership roles in Dubai World Central (Dubai South) and also served as the financial expert in H.H. The Ruler’s Court- Dubai for the implementation of Government Resource Planning (GRP) for the Government of Dubai.

Mr. Shalabi was also the Chairman of the Board of the Sudatel Group, one of the largest public telecom companies in Sudan, Chairman of the World Bank & Donors Countries forum, and served as a board member in numerous companies.

Mr. Shalabi has completed his BA in Commerce from Cairo University, along with an Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is also a Certified Public Accountant from the USA and has successfully completed several executive development courses from the London School of Economics, Harvard and Stanford.

Abduselam Hamde

Group Chief Strategy Officer & Group Human Capital Officer

Abduselam Hamde is the Group Chief Strategy Officer (GCSO) and Group Chief Human Capital Officer (GCHCO) of the Juma Al Majid Holding Group. Mr. Hamde oversees developing the Group’s strategy along with providing leadership/Workforce to the conglomerate’s human capital functions.

Prior to his current role with the Juma Al Majid Holding Group, he held roles in Al Hilal Bank, Dubai Aviation City Corporation (Dubai World Central), National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), Alliance Management Consultancy, GREMDCO Consultancy and SOS Belgium. He was also a Visiting Professor at Preston University, Ajman (for both programs – undergraduate and post graduate).
Mr. Hamde holds an MBA in General Management from the University of Westminster, London.
As an executive, he sat in various committees either as a chair or member.

Jawad Abu Farha

Group Chief Information Officer

With more than 30 years of experience in the Information Technology industry, particularly in managing the implementation of applications to align business needs with best practices, Mr. Jawad Abu Farha is the Group Chief Information Officer of the Juma Al Majid Holding Group.
Mr. Abu Farha is responsible for strategic IT planning and the complete IT renovation implementation of business solutions across the Group. Among his many achievements, Mr. Abu Farha lead the Group’s implementation of Oracle E-business suite; he has also won an accolade as one of the best IT Managers in the Middle East in 2005.
Prior to his current role, he has played strategic roles at the Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat), Dubai.
Mr. Abu Farha holds a B.S.C. in Math & Computer Science from the Yarmouk University, Jordan along with an MBA in Strategic Management from Columbus University, USA.

Akef Al Attar

Group Chief Finance Officer

In his role as the Group Chief Finance Officer for the Juma Al Majid Holding Group, Mr. Akef Al-Attar is focused on driving financial performance of the group through rigorous and synergetic capital allocation, investment management decisions and portfolio optimisation.
In his career spanning 3 decades, Mr. Al-Attar has been involved in all aspects of finance including accounting, auditing, banking, tax, and zakat. With solid experience in strategy and capital markets, his strategic thinking has helped in shaping the overall financial direction of the Group.
He has served in the capacity of GCFO for several multi-billion-dollar conglomerates across the USA, Jordan, and other countries in the MENA region.
Mr. Al-Attar has been instrumental in delivering various mega projects from setting up the accounting and finance divisions and implementing the core banking systems for several financial institutions, to managing the mergers and acquisitions for different deals and successfully obtaining licenses from regulators for several new finance companies. He has also played critical roles in raising multi-billion dollars funds through banking finance and Sukuk, preparing the feasibility studies and evaluating specialised mega projects and also preparing companies for their IPO.
Mr. Al-Attar is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from Chicago, USA, and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from Texas, USA.

Azzam Al- Khuffash

Chief Legal Officer

Mr. Azzam Al-Khuffash has a track record of more than three decades with the Juma Al Majid Holding Group. He has played several key roles at senior levels within the Group before his current role as Chief Legal Officer of the Juma Al Majid Holding Group of Companies and has successfully built the in-house legal team. He also serves on the Executive Board of the company and has been at the helm of several strategic transactions.

Highly regarded in both the corporate and government circles, Mr. Khuffash possesses sound knowledge and experience in all aspects of regulatory law, company law, corporate and commercial laws, securities law, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, employment law and property law.

He has also served as a committee member of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry for more than seven years and has been instrumental in the review of local and federal legislation in the UAE and has carried out several studies on rules and regulations within corporate entities in the UAE. 

Khalid Mustafa

Group Chief Internal Audit Officer

Mr. Khalid Mustafa is a seasoned Corporate Governance Executive with extensive experience of leading internal audit and compliance functions of diversified business segments ranging from government owned conglomerates to entities listed on prominent Stock Exchanges across the region.  Mr. Mustafa has held several Directorships on Management and JV Boards as Executive Director. He has also served in the capacity of a Non-Executive Director and Independent Audit Committee member of a large conglomerate headquartered in the UAE.

Mr. Mustafa is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant from the ACCA (UK), holds numerous key industry certifications and professional memberships from prestigious institutes and associations including Certified Internal Auditor (CIA, IIA USA), Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA, IIA USA), Certified Quality Assessor (CQA), Member of Chartered Management Institute (MCMI), Certified Financial Consultant (CFC) and United Arab Emirates Chartered Accountant (UAECA).

Hazem El-kholy

Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Hazem El-Kholy is the Chief Investment Officer at Juma Al Majid Holding Group. Having been part of the Group since 2010, he leads the long-term investment strategy of the group. He is also responsible for formulating and managing the group’s portfolios in different local, regional, and global capital and money markets and direct investments in affiliated companies.
With extensive experience in investment management, investment banking, private equity, projects appraisal, corporate finance, privatization, valuation, strategic planning, and performance improvement in Egypt, the Middle East and the UK, Mr. El-Kholy has over two decades of experience. Prior to his appointment with the Juma Al Majid group, he was the Investment Director of Abu Dhabi Holding and has also held the position of Partner at KPMG, Management Consulting. He also held key positions at Jaicorp (owned by ADIA) and First Cairo Finance Co.
Mr. El-Kholy holds an M.B.A and B.A in Business Administration from The American University in Cairo, Egypt. He has also attended several training courses in Egypt, U.K, U.S.A, Germany, Switzerland and Africa on investment appraisal, globalization, valuation, international consulting skills, market research, export promotion and more. He is also instrumental in conducting training courses in financial analysis, advanced consulting skills, market research and export development.

Shaukat Ali Mir

Chief Contracting Officer

Mr. Shaukat Ali Mir is the Chief Contracting Officer at the Juma Al Majid Holding Group. With more than three decades of comprehensive experience in managing engineering entities across the Middle East and the Far East regions, Mr. Mir has extensive exposure in the contracting business of M&E, power, and infrastructure. He also exhibits significant milestones of managing large-scale projects across the Middle East.
Mr. Mir acted as the Chief Project Development Officer and Corporate Advisor at the Group before moving into his current role. His wide-ranging experience encompasses his stint as Chief Executive Officer at Engineering & Construction group of ETA/ASCON Group as well as his role as Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer – International Operations of Voltas Limited.
Mr. Mir has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India

Ziyad Shahrouri

Chief Property Officer

In his capacity as Chief Property Officer and armed with over 30 years of experience in managing diverse portfolios of residential and commercial real estate in the UAE, the US, and other markets, Mr. Ziyad Shahrouri is the driving force for the strategy development and its effective implementation with exceptional service delivery standards for the Group’s real estate arm; this is for the purpose of ensuring its multidimensional impact results in creating long-lasting value for the Group.

Mr. Shahrouri has served the Group in various capacities starting from Accountant to Section Accountant, Branch Accountant, Foreign Investment Department Manager, Maintenance & Facility Manager then finally General Manager & Chief Property Officer; his management responsibilities also included other areas such as Hospitality Management, Maintenance, US & Europe Investments Department, and others.

Mr. Shahrouri holds a BA degree in Business Administration with a sub-major in Economics from Jordan University.

Dr. Fahd Bakour

Chief Projects Development Officer

In his capacity as Chief Projects Development Officer, Dr. Fahd is responsible for the strategic planning, master planning and feasibility of all strategic property projects of the group in the UAE and abroad.

Dr Fahd is a highly accomplished and experienced C-Level professional with over 25 years of expertise in the GCC region in developing profitable and sustainable businesses. He has held leadership positions as a Group CEO in prominent Contracting groups such as Power International Holding (Qatar), Al Faraa Group (UAE), Arcadis/EC Harris (International), EllisDon (Canada + UAE) Throughout his career, he has managed revenues exceeding 2 Billion USD and has gained extensive exposure to managing and leading multiple business units with a diverse range of activities, including MEP Contracting, HVAC, General Contracting, Facilities Management, Interiors & Joinery, Property Development, Infrastructure, Landscaping, Safety & Security, Oil & Gas and others.

Dr. Fahd is an empowering leader who excels in building interdisciplinary teams, mentoring staff, and fostering individual accountability for established standards of excellence. He is a technically astute Six Sigma Black Belt with a proven ability to streamline, reengineer, and optimize business processes. His areas of expertise include Strategic Business Planning, Corporate Governance, Budgeting/P&L Management, Program/Project Management, Operation Management, Government Regulations & Relations, Performance Management, Executive Team Building & Leadership, Process & Procedure Development, TQM, Process Reengineering, and Lean Management. Dr Fahd is a certified “Lean Management” Professional and holds membership in various Lean Management Institutes. 

Dr. Fahd is a holder of a Ph.D. degree in Engineering Management from University of Atlanta – USA (originally founded as Barrington University); he is also a holder of Master of Science degree in Construction Management from University of Birmingham – UK as well as Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Dr Fahd is also a member of the Canadian Civil Engineering Society.
