Al Arabia for Elevators & Moving Systems on schedule for the delivery of 4 prestigious projects in the UAE

Al Arabia for Elevators & Moving Systems, a fully owned entity of the Juma Al Majid Holding Group and the exclusive UAE distributor for SIGMA Elevators and Escalators Co. – South Korea, is proud to announce that the delivery of 4 large-scale projects it had been awarded over the course of 2020 are all moving forward and on schedule. Al Arabia’s scope across all projects includes the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of Elevators, Escalators and Travelators. The projects include a Hotel in Palm Deira Islands, a residential building for Al Saud Company Ltd. in Sharjah, a Residential and Commercial Tower in Business Bay, Dubai, and a Mixed–Use (Shopping Mall/Residential) project in Al Hudaiba, Dubai.
With the installation of the 8 SIGMA Elevators now completed at the Hotel in Palm Deira Islands, the project has now moved to the testing phase and is slated to be handed over towards the end of 2021. Similarly, the Residential/Commercial Tower project – testing of 7 SIGMA High-Speed Elevators with 23 stops is under way, and the project is due for delivery end of 2021. Whereas the Mixed-Use project in Al Hudaiba and considering its requirements – 13 SIGMA Elevators, 4 Escalators and 2 Travelators – installation is still underway with the project due to be handed over in 2022 as per schedule; Al Arabia had partnered with the project’s consultant on the designs and requirements for the project’s moving systems for a period of 4 years prior to being awarded the project.
Al Arabia for Elevators & Moving Systems won these prestigious projects after a competitive bidding process involving no less than 10 companies over a period of 6 months and in certain cases up to 20 months. Al Arabia will also be providing maintenance services which varies between 12-24 months post project completion for all projects, which includes the supply of genuine spare parts and round-the-clock emergency call back services.
