Al Arabia Operations & Maintenance Secures Major TAQA Transmission Infrastructure Project in Abu Dhabi

The project will be executed through Juma Al Majid Electrical & Mechanical Works Company WLL (JAM-EMW), the Group’s Abu Dhabi entity operating under the management of AA-OMD.
The scope includes the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems across 16 electrical substations and five pumping stations located across multiple regions of Abu Dhabi. The project will be delivered over a 24-month period, with specialized engineering teams mobilized to undertake the upgrades across TAQA’s transmission infrastructure.

TAQA is one of the region’s leading utilities companies responsible for the generation, transmission, and distribution of power and water. Transmission substations are critical components of the power grid, where environmental control systems such as HVAC are essential to maintaining stable operating conditions for sensitive electrical equipment.

Replacing HVAC systems in live substations requires careful coordination and specialized expertise to ensure uninterrupted grid operations.

The project represents one of the most significant contracts secured by the Group’s Abu Dhabi operations in recent years, reinforcing AA-OMD’s growing role in delivering complex engineering and facilities services for critical infrastructure across the UAE.
